Fury Sign Worldwide Record Deal With Mighty Music

It’s a proud day for me and Fury, we have signed a record deal! As a fiercely DIY band (what you see is all there is), this is the first time we have welcomed the involvement from the wider world of the music industry. We achieved a lot on our own, but now it’s time to branch out and see where this new partnership takes us.

Something that drew me in to a collaboration with Mighty Music was their roster of bands – quality over quantity, old school, real rock n’ roll… This is how I knew that Michael and Mighty Music would understand what we are all about. Their keen interest in the album also reassured me, because I believe we have something great in the forthcoming Fury album, and I have no interest in chasing big labels trying to beg them to give us a chance. I want someone who is happy and proud to be taking a chance on a band who aren’t interested in cloning another act, aren’t interested in gimmicks or becoming a caricature of metal… A band who just want to play authentic, exciting music.

It also sort of helped that I saw the label were Danish, perfect! I’m learning a bit of the language and have now visited the country a couple of times, where I got the chance to catch up with the remaining Danish residents of Mercyful Fate, my band mates Hank and Bjarne! The country also feels strategic for the markets we hope to tap into in the coming years – very handy to be sandwiched between Germany on one side, and the rest of Scandinavia on the other. This should make things a little easier to branch out that way next year!

News about the forthcoming album will be making its way to you all soon. But I can tell you, it’s coming this year!

So keep an eye on the Fury and Mighty Music socials. We can’t wait to show you what we’re working on!
